I have 6 wordpress websites with shared hosting at hostgator. I have been contacted by hostgator with the following message. A temporary block is placed on your database. The database was found to be consuming an inordinate amount of processor time, to the point of degrading overall system performance.
None of these sites are overly excessive in content, plugins etc.
I need someone to analysis and optimize these for such issues as Excessive MySQL, a long-running process that locks a table, causing other queries to back up, queries that is not optimized, huge table copies/maintenance during peak hours table optimization and adding indexes, removing unused files etc. Anything that is causing this issue and is reducing website load time and overall functionality.
I am seeking someone that knows what to look for to uncover existing and potential problems that are causing hosting performance as well as website speed. An overall tuneup for maximum performance.
Because of the temporary hold time is of the essence. Once someone is hired I will need to contact hostgator to get access to the websites.
