Additional comments for the designers
The logo should consist an emblem and the wording "Vancouver Scanning Group" beside or below. Emblem will be used separately and together with the wording (see "hiring the world" logo on top of this site, for example.) Emblem will also be used as icon (favicon), so it must be close to the square dimensions.
Design may have gradients, shadows, blends, etc. only as optional enhancing features, but must retain the form without any. Since it will be used in many forms, embossed, for example, a solid color elements must prevail.
No specific colors, but any 2 colors are preferable.
Also, the "Group" in the "Vancouver Scanning Group" wording can be used in smaller font size, if needed to be.
