About Us

We are a non-profit organization that hand-makes Ukrainian food (pyrohy, cabbage rolls, nalysnyky, and other traditional food. These products are sold with proceeds going to St. Michael's Health Group which provides long-term care, housing & supportive services for seniors and the disabled.

We are unique

We actually have Baba's (Ukrainian for grandmothers) hand-making these products. All proceeds from the sales of these products go towards seniors long-term care and housing.

Contest summary

We are a non-profit organization that hand-makes Ukrainian food (perohy (or perogies), cabbage rolls, nalysnyky, and other traditional Ukrainian food. These products are sold through grocery retailers and restaurants. Proceeds go to provides long-term care & housing for seniors.

25-60 years old, not gender specific.

What our logo should communicate

It should represent Ukrainian food but with a modern, clean look.

Our Tagline

Baba's Own Food Products does not have a tagline.

First impressions on our logo should be

Wow - nice logo! I love Ukrainian food!

We want this in our logo

Pyrohy (or perogies) are our most recognized item. Our current logo has that imge on it but it is confusing for us to use this logo for producst other than perogies. We need a professional image that will encompass all our products but not look kitschy.

Additional comments for the designers

Our product is sold primarily locally. There is a high Ukrianian population in our province and most people (Ukainian or not) are familiar with this food. There are many competitors. We do not want the traditional "Ukrainian" look (embroidery, etc) to this logo. Should not have the colour green in it. We have a website http://www.smhg.ca/BabasOwn.aspx for more info and details.
