Guys, using a design competition's discussion board for a dispute platform is bad form no matter who is in the right. Take it up elsewhere or contact HTW.

Client, I also do not compete in Non-Guaranteed Comps... you would likely get about 500% more designs submitted if it is prepaid. I am currently unaware of an unsatisfied client that has prepaid with HTW. All the risk is on us and there's no accountability to you. That's wack. All the best.

Hi, CH any feedback on my designs would be very helpful to provide you more appropriate design you are looking for.

To fellow designers, I think its better to take the discussion to the forum to resolve the issue will be better.

Also as far as the CH having to pay for the clip-art he doesn't. The link clearly states "FREE Stencils Starting With "P"" at the top of the page. Look for yourself man....http://www.spraypaintstencils.com/p-stencils.html and there is a link on there that says Phoenix Bird (Tattoo Style) under the heading "Stencils "P"". Not arguing over the clip-art, just showing that it says FREE.

If #9 wasn't even close to what I was claiming then why did he withdraw it? Hmmm, and yeah you're correct about I do use some clip-art in my designs, but who cares? If we weren't allowed to use clip-art then hiretheworld shouldn't put a place for us to post the source. And I'm not threatening you. I apologize for being a jerk, but I don't apologize for me designing logo's a different way then you. BUT, for future contests I will attempt to create the designs completely from scratch. As for this one, the clip-art has been noted and therefore is just fine in my opinion. And yeah I admit I was unprofessional, and I apologize for that, I shouldn't have started a big argument over it, I should've just withdrew it, properly explained the clip-art and re-entered it. Apology accepted?

#9 CLAIM WHERE YOU GOT PART OF YOUR DESIGN. LINK FOR THE IMAGE IN YOUR DESIGN IS http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ-WrmKN3SAfLpOG-F15w-biYEK6rn2eDEzzvrajBiw_8PWrwaF

I put the design back up with a link as to where I got the basic outline of it from. It doesn't matter if you use clip-art or not, if the end design is good it's good. It was a 2-star design before I took it down and put it back up.

The design in question has been withdrawn, since you guy's have nothing better to do then talk down about other's designs. I'll add you on my list of people to watch as well frdk. Have a nice day. raptrguy if you liked my original design, I will tell you where i got the idea, and basic outline of the bird if you end up wanting that one. If you like one of my other's than that's awesome as well. Feel free to send me an email at decals2anywhere@Gmail.com

@WhisperingSage, re #5 : your link is not the original for #5 .
This one is: http://spraypaintstencils.com/stencilstore/phoenix-bird-stencil.htm (only change is colour and a slight modification of scale...)
I sent support a note about it but haven't had any reaction.
As for guaranteed vs. non-guaranteed - I don't see any reason to work for free without any guarantee that anyone will get paid. <shrug />

Feb 14, 2011 9:14:06 AM

the way i look at it in the guaranteed vs. non is that if you provide me with a good design, i will award the win to you. If your design is boring and non communicative such as some i see here no one will win. Provide me with a good logo. you make the cash.

Feb 14, 2011 9:03:52 AM

I don't see how I make any of you look bad, if you are a better designer than me, then in the end you will win. And I'd be willing to bet that because of all these comments you and I have made towards one-another that I probably stand no chance at winning now, so for that I thank you, and yeah I'm being sarcastic. I'll be sureto check over every single one of your designs from now-forward, and make sure your being honest, and trust me, I will keep my word on that one. Have a nice day.

Feb 14, 2011 4:10:31 AM

And I apologize for being a Jerk to you whisperingsage, but seriously, look at both birds, any designer on her would tell you they look different. Have a nice day.

Feb 14, 2011 4:05:49 AM

Hey Whisperingsage look at your photo and look at mine, 2 completely different birds. How about actually comparing them before saying it's a rip-off. Your not the brightest light-bulb in the box are you? Don't accuse before looking at both images side-by-side. Have a nice day, and I don't see any designs from you up anywhere on this contest, so shut up, or at least investigate before wrongly accusing.

Hi CH, I think if a contest isnt prepaid with Hiretheworld.com then its become non-guaranteed contest.

If you have already paid the full contest prize and commission but still the contest is categorized as non-guaranteed contest its better to contact admin asap to resolve the issue.

Also Guaranteed contest make us feel better to provide you more options and also it will attract many more good designers in this site.

Feb 11, 2011 10:04:53 PM

could you make this contest into guaranteed please? :)

Feb 11, 2011 7:56:22 PM

raptrguy - if you think something went wrong in the signup, contact support, I'm sure they'll get you sorted.

Feb 11, 2011 6:28:31 PM

im sorry, i dont know what guaranteed term means on this site, maybe i signed up wrong,,,?? lemme know

Feb 11, 2011 4:24:29 PM

I think Hiretheworld makes our logo's impossible to copy on the non-guranteed contests, so that we don't create them and the company steal them without paying... I think that's why it looks darker and has the text across the middle like that, to protect us designers.... I think....

Whoa. My design looks different that the way I designed it. Anything that was white is gray, and the overall look is not as bright. Why is this competition not guaranteed?
