Gold exploration in western Canada. A young, dynamic team that has brought a gold project to an advanced stage prior to going public.
Target Audience
Precious metals investors. People with a high tolerance for risk.
What our logo should communicate
This company is dynamic and aggressive (they are risk takers, after all), but also competent and professional. The land plays a big part in the company's heritage and identity, as the "Kam" part of the name comes from the city of Kamloops, British Columbia, where their primary project is located. This country is arid and open with a big sky. The client wants some shade of gold in the logo. You might also consider a rich blue for the sky.

First impressions on our logo should be
This looks like a fresh, energetic company that has their s**t together.
We want this in our logo
PLEASE! No gold bars, picks and shovels, gold nuggets or rugged miners with mules. A type-only logo is perfectly acceptable if no logo mark seems to nail it.
Additional comments for the designers
The upper case "W" and "K" probably offer the best features for doing something different with this logo. You might be able to build a logo mark out of the two letters together, perhaps forming something subtly relating to mining or exploring.

Styles we are interested in:
Abstract Mark
Abstract marks use a single shape or symbol to represent a brand or product. Their genius is their
simplicity as customers recognize abstract logos at a single glance.
Character Logo
Character logos often use fun, memorable mascots to represent a brand. College sports teams and
businesses use this type of branding to establish a more personable relationship between their customer and their brand.
Coat of Arms or Family Crest
A Coat of Arms or Family Crest is a symbolic logo that generally reflects the history of an
organization. This kind of logo is a great way to project to your customers a sense of history and establishment.
Emblem
An emblem uses a shape or picture to literally or metaphorically represent a company or brand.
Generally the organization's name will be included in the emblem.
Letterform Mark
A letterform mark typically uses 1 to 3 letters from the business name to represent the
organization.
Word Mark
A word mark consists of the company's name in a stylized type.
