Integrity, capability, responsiveness and value, but also creativity and approachability. It's a masculine type of climate I am marketing into; however, I don't
My target is primarily businesses who sell to other businesses, and their products tend to have long sales cycles - either it is a large capital purchase or it is a complex product or service. So building the relationship over time is a key factor to their sales success. There are usually more than one decision maker - IT manager, operations manager, sales manager, perhaps even president/CEO,depending on the size of the expenditure. They are results-oriented with signing authority along with accountability for a functional team or teams. Tech and manufacturing companies are the most common but with my background in best practices and quality assurance, all companies with compliance needs are prospective clients.
What our logo should communicate
Integrity, capability, responsiveness and value, but also creativity and approachability. It's a masculine type of climate I am marketing into; however, I don't want a highly masculine logo. Nor do I want it uber techie.
under consideration - not finalized yet
First impressions on our logo should be
This person has it going on - I am drawn to exploring if she could meet my marketing copywriting needs.
We want this in our logo
Again, just not too masculine or techie. Something clean and elegant with a bit of an edge which does encompass the feminine/creative element.
Additional comments for the designers
I prefer a logotype look but am open to whatever comes my way. I had played around with it myself using two fonts I felt were sleek but not over the top in terms of tech - BasturdusSans and PhoenixSans. Serif faces seem to dilute the credibility of what I am trying to convey.
Styles we are interested in:
Abstract marks use a single shape or symbol to represent a brand or product. Their genius is their
simplicity as customers recognize abstract logos at a single glance.
An emblem uses a shape or picture to literally or metaphorically represent a company or brand.
Generally the organization's name will be included in the emblem.
A word mark consists of the company's name in a stylized type.
