We are looking for a bold, contemporary and easy to read logo which reflects our work over the past 11 years but also gives a fresh look to our brand.
HE lecturers in languages, linguistics & area studies (LLAS). We are in a transitional phase from being fully government-funded to self-sustaining. We want to convey that we are continuing our business as usual and all cost increases are enabling us to maintain the high level of service we have been offering.
What our logo should communicate
We are continuing with services we've provided over the last 11 years. We are reliable, knowledgeable, competent, trustworthy, innovative, supportive, responsive, dynamic.
First impressions on our logo should be
The LLAS logo reflects LLAS experience, professionalism and academic integrity without looking corporate.
Additional comments for the designers
The logo could either say: 'LLAS Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies' or just 'LLAS'
We would like to keep our current brand colour: purple. See at http://www.llas.ac.uk. This is partly because we think it is a good colour and partly because it maintains a link with the past.
