I apologize for the delays in selecting a bidder. An overwhelming number of responses have been received, and also there are a few changes to the original job. Need cutaway illustration to be developed.
You are provided with an existing cutaway, to produce an equivalent of with some specific variations that will be indicated. Uploaded is an example source file. You would be working from scratch, using such a file as well as using plan view deck layouts indicating major room dimensions, but without interior detail plan views for non-cabin areas, but with stated preferences, and using any interior architecture visualization skills to develop the cutaway.
Creative suggestions will be welcomed, in many areas actually, given the absence of a final detailed architectural design at the current time. But if you came up with something, it would need to be robust enough to accommodate possible later changes to certain specific interior architecture details, such as colours, certain furnishings, and possible adjustments to sub-interior layout dimensions. I will provide you with interior colour preferences, and architectural themes to be employed.
The kind of information you will be provided will be:
- ten decks, maximum dimensions 25 m wide, by 103 m long; deck dimensions will vary per deck level, based on information to be provided
- three of the above decks will be primarily equipment decks, concerned with machinery; these details are still being developed and will be subsequently provided
- selected machinery and equipment depictions to replicate
- interior layout of each deck in plan view, with suggested layouts for the cabin suites only; other areas, such as lounges, restaurants, bars, shopping arcade, theater, casino, elevators, & stairwells, preferences will be provided
- example real pictures to guide vessel interior features
- files need to be set-up for accommodating logos on the outside of the ship’s hull
- interior architectural themes
- interior volume available, overall external dimensions
- external structural features
More details will be provided. Please reply with samples of work done in the past which involve characteristics similar as per the cutaway that is provided.
Deliverables
End deliverables:
A. A scaled 3D illustration cutaway analogous to the uploaded cutaway file, but from which different external port, starboard, and plan views could be extracted in 3D at different angles of rotation.
B. Additionally you will provide separate 3D image files for each deck as isolated objects that can be rotated in 3D to get different external views from different angles in 3D.
A concern about the end products is that they need to be high quality images with a certain level of sharpness and detail. The uploaded cutaway example does not display enough of this, but it is the closest example that could be located which depicts a vessel similar in size.
The files have to be set up in high resolution to allow them to be used for both web and printing in different sizes, from a small image on a page, to a full size poster, with no loss of quality. Image files also need to be zoomable to a certain level, with no loss of quality or resolution.
Will provide further details after receiving your interest and assessing your suitability to do the graphics. I will also need a fixed price cost estimate for the work.
If you are serious about being able to do the job, please provide a sample upfront which would illustrate your style.
Equipment depictions and equipment decks will need to be integrated in later. That information will not be initially provided, with exception of amount of area to be allocated for equipment areas.
Once the job starts, I will need a preliminary set of deliverables per indicated, that once reviewed, may be subject to a total change, if the preferences to be provided have not been captured. This is why it is important to understand the style needed at the beginning, and you can ask as many questions as you need so that is understood.
I will also be sending you a non-disclosure agreement which would need to be signed and sent back to me.
