Enchantress is a sweeping fantasy epic filled with action, adventure, romance and magic, currently out on Amazon Kindle. Only this first book for now but the sequel will be out in early December and the intention is to find strong new designs to unify the two books and get in print with CreateSpace.

Target Audience
Both male and female readers aged 16 to 60 interested in a sweeping tale of magic, war, action and adventure.
We want this in our design
Should work well in thumbnail size as well as print. Readable title and central image/theme.
Please think about how we could subsequently work to "brand" the sequel, third book etc.
Simple is good.
Additional comments for the designers
Enchantress is an epic fantasy novel in the style of Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, Magician by Raymond Feist, or the Troy series by David Gemmell.
The setting is magical-medieval, and central to the plot is the idea that runes are drawn on objects (swords etc.) to give them power.
There are plenty of battles and also central to the plot is a magical book with a green cover, and a rune on the cover.
The runes themselves are rounded symbols similar to Celtic runes or Chinese/Japanese characters. Try to avoid obvious similarities to the real world. Just ideas so please experiment!
I need someone familiar with CreateSpace. My book should be in 6” X 9” and is 513 pages in length.
Please see: https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp
These are the general requirements:
1) Must be a single PDF that includes the back cover, spine, and front cover as one image
2) Measured exactly to the book's trim size, spine width, and .125" bleed
3) Centered horizontally and vertically
4) Minimum Cover Width: Bleed + Back Cover Trim Size + Spine Width + Front Cover Trim Size + Bleed
Example calculation at 6" x 9" cover with 60 B&W pages on white paper: 0.125" + 6" + 0.135" + 6" + .125" = 12.385"
5) Minimum Cover Height: Bleed + Book Height Trim Size + Bleed
Example calculation: 6" x 9": 0.125" + 9" + .125" = 9.25"
6) Barcode - Createspace will place your ISBN barcode in a 2" by 1.2" white box in the lower right-hand corner of the book's back cover.
Images or text in the barcode location will be covered when the book is printed. Make sure no important elements appear where the barcode will be placed.
7) Images - Images may be CMYK or RGB color. All images should be sized at 100%, flattened to one layer and placed in your document at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
8) Spine - Allow for 0.0625" variance on either side of the fold lines for the cover. For example, if the spine width is 1", the text should be no wider than 0.875". Because of this variance, avoid hard edges or lines that end on the fold line.
9) Safe zone - Text and images must be at least .125" inside the trim lines to ensure that no live elements are cut during the bookmaking process.
10) Please also provide any PSD, Illustrator, InDesign etc. source files
