HiretheWorld named to prominent BC innovation list

VANCOUVER, March 29, 2012 – HiretheWorld has been recognized as one of British Columbia’s 20 Most Innovative Companies by BC Business Magazine for the changes it’s making in the domain of online hiring. The list of 20 Most Innovative Companies from BC Business Magazine recognizes the most creative organizations in British Columbia which are shaping the future of the province with their cutting-edge ideas.

HiretheWorld, founded in 2009 by Doug and Terry Beech & Arash Afrooze, allows employers to hire remote workers on a per-project basis to tackle anything from programming and design to bookkeeping and copywriting.

With workers in over 125 countries, the HiretheWorld community provides employers access to a global network of remote workers who are capable of completing any task that can be completed online.

Some notable companies in B.C. from previous iterations of the Top 20 Innovators in B.C. lists include HootSuite Media, Lululemon Athletica, AbeBooks, VanCity and NowPublic.

“Our team is always trying new things, solving new problems and it’s very exciting that we’re getting to a point where organizations like BC Business are starting to notice,” said Terry. “When you look at the success of some past winners, I think it says a lot about what we’re doing and where we’re headed.”
