HiretheWorld Founder Arash Afrooze recognized in the 1st annual FuEL Awards

VANCOUVER, November 14, 2011—Arash Afrooze, co-founder and CTO of Vancouver based HiretheWorld, has been selected as one of Canada’s top 20 young entrepreneurs by PROFIT Magazine. Since establishing the company in 2009, Arash’s efforts have served to transform HiretheWorld into one of the fastest-growing online workforce solutions providers.

“To be picked as a winner from so many amazing young entrepreneurs is such an honour. This award is a real testament to the great team we’ve been able to assemble here at HiretheWorld and all the hard work we’ve been putting into our company,” says Arash on being recognized in the 1st annual FuEL Awards.

“Like so many innovators, we started out trying to solve a common problem. There are so many things wrong with employment these days, so we set out to change the way the world works. Looking back, it’s incredible to think how far we’ve come. Our team has grown, our website is bigger and better than ever, but the dream remains the same,” continues Arash on the inspiration for HiretheWorld.

HiretheWorld has grown to 13 employees while the site is now home to thousands of designers, programmers and writers with more arriving every day. As the industry of online employment continues to expand, the company is set to capitalize on this trend and take working online to the next level.

“Canada’s future competitiveness rests in the hands of entrepreneurs who can produce world-beating innovations, create high-quality jobs and build sustainable business,” says Ian Portsmouth, Editor-in-Chief of PROFIT Magazine. “The winners of the inaugural FuEL Awards not only show those abilities, but are also role models who inspire youth to choose the entrepreneurial path.”

Celebrating Canada’s Future Entrepreneurial Leaders (FuEL), the FuEL Awards honour the achievements and aspirations of entrepreneurs under the age of 30. Launched in 2011, the FuEL Awards are produced by PROFIT Magazine in partnership with Impact Entrepreneurship Group. The winners of the FuEL Awards are listed at fuelawards.ca, and will be profiled in the December/January 2012 issue of PROFIT Magazine and online at PROFITguide.com.
